The Work

So this is my portfolio section. I think it is a good sampling of my work. Selecting from the menu to the right will take you down to the samples in that group. You could just scroll down, but, well, the menu is faster and neat-o-keen. Check back for new items.

NOTE: If you are using IE/Mac, sorry but it does not support CSS Popup Items so you won't see the description to the right of the thumbnails as you rollover them. I am checking to see what other browsers support this feature and how to fix it for all browsers. Ultimately, you don't get to see a really fantastic trick I learned from Eric Meyer’s website for CSS. [EDIT: This CSS feature is temporarily disabled and replaced with a standard JavaScript until a fix for IE can be generated.]

I really like designing logos. I think I am most successful in this area of design. The jewel in my crown being the logo/mascot for Southwestern University in Georgetown, TX. Click on a thumbnail below to view in a separate window.

As this site is predominately a showcase of talent (and good talent too, if I may be so bold), here are a few designs and/or ads for the print world. Click on the thumbnail for a larger view. 56% of these pieces never saw the light of day. Here’s a fun little game: guess which ones. Hint: The Smirnoff Vodka ad was a joke with me and my creative director. 50%.

Websites aren’t so tough. Of course, I am lying. As this site is proof enough, websites can be pretty finicky. Worse than a cat. Every browser is different, and no matter how hard the W3C tries to make standards, inevitably one browser (or more) will break the rules. *cough*IE*cough* Some of these sites were coded by another company. Some were coded by me. With the exception of I.D. University (a pure HTML production job), all designs by moi.
